Stop by our display at the Nonprofit Fair on the front lawn at Kennebunk Free Library during May Day festivities. We’ll have trail maps, information about the Hope Woods Conservation Initiative, and more!

Demonstration of Interactive Map
May 28 @ 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

Join us in the Old Church Yard (next to the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church) to see the results of a GIS mapping project done by UNE student interns. Each plot in the Old Church Yard is included in the interactive map – click on any location and see information about the person buried there. Each veteran is honored with a special notation about their service.

United Way Day Of Caring

For the 4th consecutive year, Hope Cemetery & Woods will be hosting a group of volunteers from York County organizations that sign up to help us with trail work for the day. Contact United Way of York County to join us.

Guided Walk with Naturalist @ Hope Woods

Here is an opportunity to see and learn about the beautiful hidden treasure right next to downtown Kennebunk. Maine Master Naturalist (and Kennebunk Land Trust Executive Director) Gordon Collins will lead a 2-hour walk along the trails in the forest and meadows of Hope Woods.Walk will depart from the parking area at the back of Hope Cemetery. The entrance to the parking area is on Barnard Lane (look for the sign).  Google maps


Hope Woods Trail Rake-out @ Hope Woods
Nov 18 @ 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Join the Trail Stewards to help get the trails ready for winter by raking away the leaves and debris. Meet in the parking area in the back of Hope Cemetery at 2-12 Barnard Lane off of Route One. look for signs marking the way to the parking area. Bring a rake and work gloves, and dress appropriately for the weather.
