  • The Cemetery and Hope Woods are open from sunrise to sunset year-round for visitors on foot.

  • The Cemetery is open for business from April 1 to November 30. However, messages may be left for the Superintendent year-round by calling 207-985-7846 or emailing hopecemetery@yahoo.com. The cemetery gate will be closed to vehicular traffic in the winter/off-season but is accessible on foot. On occasion the cemetery gates may be closed for a funeral service, road work, or tree maintenance.

  • Hope Cemetery gates and lanes may be closed to vehicles if a funeral is in progress. We ask that drivers be aware of and obey the one-way signs on the lanes leading to and away from the Hope Woods Trailhead and elsewhere in the Cemetery. We ask that drivers not park on the lanes except where parking is labelled.

  • All dogs must be on a leash or in a vehicle when in the Cemetery.
